FW 3000

The FW 3000 is the new generation of high-performance wind turbines in the 3 MW class - designed for mid- and low-wind locations. It convinces with a particularly low-maintenance design and significantly reduced operating costs. The hybrid drive, the combination of a two-stage gearbox and a medium-speed synchronous generator, enables a compact construction of the nacelle, which is with a weight of 105 tons comparatively light. Rotors with a diameter of 120 and 132 m and hub heights of up to 140 m deliver good yields even in low winds. The FW 3000 enables a straightforward grid integration with a wide range of grid codes and is prepared for future grid protection guidelines.
